At least eight people were killed after the roof of a potato storage facility collapsed in India on Thursday. A massive pile of stored potatoes buried people underneath.
A total of 11 people so far have been pulled alive from under the potatoes.Rescuers and excavators worked tirelessly overnight to clear enormous piles of potatoes to search for survivors.
The accident occurred in the Chandausi area of Sambhal city in Uttar Pradesh.
Grieving family members of those who died are looking for answers as to how the roof collapse happened. Police personnel were present on the scene on Friday.
