Bolivian interim President Jeanine Anez enacted a bill to call for new elections after weeks of nationwide turmoil. CGTN's Stephen Gibbs reports the latest from La Paz.

This new bill approved by the National Assembly one day earlier, forbids the ousted President Evo Morales from running in the election.

Morales claims he was yet another victim of U.S.-backed coups designed to overturn Latin American leaders.

Morales resigned his office and went into exile in Mexico after a wave of violent protests triggered by the disputed election results. At least 32 people have been killed in those protests.
