Peru's highest court has ordered the release of opposition leader and former first daughter, Keiko Fujimori.

Fujimori was jailed last year.

She was under investigation on corruption charges, including alleged money laundering and running a criminal organization. She denies the accusations.

She was ordered jailed while prosecutors investigate allegations she accepted money from Odebrecht for her 2011 and 2016 presidential campaigns.

The decision comes as Peru prepares to hold legislative elections in January.
