Export facilities on the River Parana now lie idle as the summer months near. But 2019 has been a record export year for Argentina's cereal producers. 

Over one million tons of wheat, corn and soybeans have already been shipped  along the river this year.

 Argentina is almost the world's largest exporters of soybean meal, which is used for animal feed. 

And earlier this year, after nearly two decades of negotiations, China opened the door to Argentine soybean meal exports.

Producers in Argentina are hoping to have all the paperwork in place to export soybean meal to China comes next March.
