The news bills passed by Congress amount to the U.S. government's refusal to recognize China's sovereignty over Hong Kong and Xinjiang.
Foreign affairs analyst, Brian Becker of the A.N.S.W.E.R Coalition, told CGTN the the bills are part of a long-term U.S. effort to hamper China's rise as a global power.
Becker says Washington's "aggressive" China policies will result in a "colossal defeat" for the U.S. Americans don't understand the situation in Xinjiang, he says. For this reason, Becker says it is "imperative" for U.S. audiences to watch two CGTN's documentaries on terrorism in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
