"We are really thrilled that this Phase I trade deal was announced earlier today. That is going to bring huge relief to the U.S. firework industry that relies so heavily on imports from China," Heckman said.

The U.S. imports 99% of the backyard consumer fireworks and 75% of large professional fireworks, she said.

"We work so closely with the producers in China," Heckman said. "Industry was very, very concerned a out December 15 coming around, but I can say that more than likely the China factories join us in celebrating this great relief from the tariffs."
