The remains of the six-meter high, 55 meters long and 15 meters wide building, were found in Kuluba, a key pre-Hispanic archeological zone, near Cancun in eastern Mexico.

In Kuluba, archeologists are also exploring an altar, the remains of two residential buildings and a structure they think is an oven.

The site will open to the public at some point in the future.
