According to a Gallup poll, the Trumps and Obamas are the most admired people in the U.S.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama is the most admired woman in the U.S. for the second year in a row.

First Lady Melania Trump came in second place.

While former President Barack Obama and current President Donald Trump are tied for 2019's most admired man in the U.S.

This was Barack Obama's 12th year in Gallup's top spot and Trump's first, albeit in a tie with Obama. Trump came in second to Obama the four previous years.

Gallup polled more than 1,000 Americans, asking them this question: What man/woman that you have heard or read about, living today in any part of the world, do you admire most?

As for the former and current First Ladies, Michelle Obama received 10% of the vote while Melania Trump received 5% of the votes.

According to Gallup, Americans typically choose incumbent presidents as their most admired man. If they aren't, it's because he's unpopular politically.
