The Federal Aviation Administration announced it is launching an investigation after a number of unidentified drones were spotted in the night skies of northeastern Colorado and southwest Nebraska, according to Reuters.

The unmanned aircraft's systems were spotted in at least four counties in Colorado, with reports coming in over the last two weeks. No private companies or government agencies claimed responsibility for the drones.

The reports come after the FAA implemented a new measure that would require them to be identified remotely.
