Indonesia's capital of Jakarta is struggling with its worst flooding in decades.

At least 43 people have died and some 397,000 are displaced.

The flooding began on New Year's Day with little warning, disrupting the lives of local residents.

Some areas of the city were under water. Rescue teams are helping people evacuate safely.
