Crowds estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands turned out in Tehran on Monday to mourn the death of their top general Qasem Soleimani.

Iran has vowed revenge for his assassination by a U.S. drone strike last Thursday in Baghdad. 

Iraq's non-binding vote to expel U.S. troops is "humiliating," according to retired U.S. Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer, a former senior intelligence officer with 30 years of field experience.
