Why is Haiti still reeling from the 2010 earthquake?

A decade after a massive 7.0 magnitude earthquake rocked Haiti, the country is still trying to recover from the damage and displacement, complicated by poverty and unrest. Hundreds of thousands were killed by the quake and millions were left homeless in its immediate aftermath.  Despite promises of international and humanitarian aid, full recovery remains elusive. 

What is needed for the country to truly live up to its potential? CGTN spoke with Kim Ives, editor at "Haiti Liberte" to get a better understanding of where the country is now and what it needs to prosper.
