2019 was the second-hottest year on record and the 2010s the hottest decade ever.
According to a new climate report, the warmest years happened in the last five years, with 2016 the worst and 2019 a close second.
The data released by NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) shows a rise in global surface temperatures from greenhouse gas emissions.
The research also found central Canada and the Northern Plains of the U.S. had cooler- than-average conditions while places like Australia, Alaska and southern Africa experienced extreme warming.
