U.S. retail steps up to face new shopping landscape

It’s being called a “retail apocalypse.” By some estimates, more than 9,000 stores closed in the U.S. in 2019. That’s 60 percent more than the number that shut their doors in 2018. Retailers have been struggling to stay relevant at a time when consumers are demanding more from brick and mortar. 

One company called Neighborhood Goods seems to have found a winning combination on how to survive.
