The unions and student groups that organized the protests have a list of more than a hundred key points they want the Colombian government to address.

But according to Reuters, presidency official Diego Molano, who is representing the government in negotiations with protest organizers, says some of the demands are unconstitutional.

Molano also says some of the demands can’t be accomplished by the executive branch or they are “financially inviable.”

A union leader tells Reuters the protests will continue this year.
