The novel coronavirus' impact on China's economy

With more than 17,000 confirmed cases and 362 deaths, China continues its lockdown in efforts to combat the coronavirus.

While many Chinese cities remain under lockdown, local businesses are taking a hit.

Chloe Demrovsky, President and CEO of Disaster Recovery Institute International, says large companies like Alibaba, have plans in place for situations like this, but smaller companies don’t.


With the signing of the China-U.S. phase one trade deal, some are worried the coronavirus outbreak will impact China’s economy and its ability to keep their end of the deal.
