Latest U.S. government figures show that just 29% of Americans working in science and engineering are women.But in one field of study they make up the majority - forensic science. The dominance of women is being attributed to the number of TV crime shows with lead female forensic detectives. The field is being held up as a positive example as the UN marks the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
