During an episode of CGTN's The Heat, two guests got into a heated discussion about the state of Israeli-Palestinian affairs since the Trump administration released its Middle East Peace Plan.

Matthew RJ Brodsky, a senior fellow with the Gold Institute for International Strategy and the Security Studies Group, took exception to an assertion that the only choices for Israel are to be either a democracy or a Jewish state, calling the argument absurd.

Ali Abunimah, co-founder of “The Electronic Intifada," was critical of Brodsky's position and an argument exploded between the two.
