Indira Santos, an engineering PhD student from Brazil, was living in Wuhan, China when the coronavirus outbreak started.

Now she is nearing the end of her quarantine at a military base in Brazil, after the government was able to evacuate her and other Brazilian citizens from Wuhan.  

Santos describes what living in the epicenter of the coronavirus was like.

Santos hopes they can get back to normal lives, not just for her but the people of Wuhan as well. 

Santos hopes she can return to Wuhan and finish her education but for now, she is looking forward to life outside of quarantine.
