Harvey Weinstein remained in a New York City hospital Tuesday morning, one day after a jury convicted him of rape and sexual assault against two women.

The former Hollywood producer and now convicted rapist was on his way to Rikers Island prison when he was taken to the hospital due to heart palpitations and high blood pressure.

According to his lawyer, Donna Rotunno, the 67-year-old Weinstein has "significant medical issues."

It's not clear when he will be transferred to Rikers.

He faces up to 29 years in prison when he is sentenced next month.

Weinstein still faces a separate criminal case in Los Angeles. He's been charged with sexual assault and rape involving two other women dating back to 2013.

He denies the allegations.
