As the U.S. works to contain the spread of COVID-19, some businesses are starting to implement practices to keep their workers safe and healthy.

Twitter is encouraging all its employees to work remotely, if possible. Google is instructing some of its international employees to work from home and Amazon is among companies telling employees to avoid "non-essential travel."
Several companies are also cancelling conferences that require travel.

CGTN's Rachelle Akuffo spoke with Alice Huang, a Biology Senior Faculty Associate at Caltech University about other ways businesses and employees can stay healthy during the coronavirus outbreak.

Rachelle Akuffo also spoke with DeLisle Worrell, the former governor of the Central Bank of Barbados, to gain his insight into where people following the COVID-19 outbreak can find up-to-date information.

Worrell also praises the Chinese government for its response and transparency during the outbreak.

He says leaders there have demonstrated the importance of global networks of cooperation.
