Syria says Turkish forces shot down two Syrian warplane but the pilots were able to escape. The fighting has killed dozens on each side and sent nearly a million Syrian civilians fleeing across the border. Turkey is already sheltering 3.5 million Syrians, and says it will no longer stop those who want to head to Europe.
