In a town where undeveloped land is almost impossible to come by, given that avocado groves seem to cover every available square centimeter, one building exemplifies the Mexican aptitude for adapting and overcoming. Between a family home and a shop, 1.15 meters of space was available, a shaft of light in which the occupier built a four-story house, the thinnest of its kind in the world.

Today, the house isn't lived in, but stands rather as a museum of curiosity and ingenuity, fully-equipped as it was left when its original occupant moved on to roomier living accommodation years ago.
