This is what the world's COVID-19 cases, recovery, deaths look like

The total number of people who have recovered from the coronavirus was 68,310, according to data from the Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center.

Total number of deaths was 4,718 and the total number of cases was 127,863.

The data was current as of March 12, 2020 at 6:40 p.m. eastern time.

China makes up 63% of all COVID-19 cases in the world, according to Johns Hopkins data analyzed by CGTN America.

Italy made up the second-largest percentage of cases at 9.8%. Iran made up 7.9% of the world's cases.

Cases in China have significantly diminished since the coronavirus outbreak began in Wuhan, China late last year. 

Of the recovered cases, China makes up 92% of the world's total, followed by Iran at 4.3%

China saw 3,172 deaths due to the coronavirus, making up 67% of the world's total. 

Italy had the second largest number of deaths at 827 or 17% of the world's total cases. 

Iran had 429 deaths or 8.9% of cases.
