How do you stop the spread of COVID-19 in a densely packed city like New York? New York State's governor Andrew Cuomo said he doesn't want a mass lockdown situation as seen in China and Italy.

So the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has pledged to sanitize all 6,400 subway cars and 5,700 buses every 72 hours. It is also running a public health campaign with posters and station announcements reminding people to cover their faces when coughing or sneezing.

Private businesses are also carrying out deep cleanings and offering hand-sanitizer and cleansers to customers.
