CGTN's Ediz Tianshan found out that despite a state wide stay-at-home order issued by governor Gavin Newsom in California last week, farmers showed up with fresh produce in Hollywood on Sunday.
Due to increasing prices at some grocery stores, many customers went to the farmers' market for vegetables they can get for lower prices.
Some customers brought their own gloves and masks to better protect themselves and others.
Many farmers also put up caution signs asking customers only to touch items they would buy and to wash their products before consumption.
One farm owner says measures such as social distancing and wearing gloves are important for minimizing the spread of virus.
