Imaris Vera worked in an ICU unit full of COVID-19 patients and says she left her job because her manager refused to let her wear her own N95 respirators mask, which have been shown to protect the wearer from virus like coronavirus. She was one of many nurses in the U.S. who were being told they can't wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

The U.S. Nurses Union recently forced hospitals to allow employees to bring their own PPE. At the same time, hospitals are in such short supply of the high-quality N95 respirators, they want nurses to reuse them between different patients.

In Friday's White House COVID-19 press briefing, it was announced that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is to recommend Americans cover their faces when outside. U.S. President Trump says he won't wear a mask.
