COVID-19 supplies from China, for Chinese students overseas, have arrived in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.
With nearly 420,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases, the U.S. is the world's virus epicenter.
While some Chinese students studying abroad have been able to return home, the outbreak has also left many stranded here. Universities in the U.S. have moved classes online. Some are urging students to leave campus and/or their dormitories.
Face masks, wipes, medicine and other supplies can be hard to find in many stores across the country. So, the Chinese government is stepping in and helping their students overseas.
A truckload of boxes filled with supplies arrived at the Chinese Embassy in Washington Wednesday morning, where staff will be putting together "sanitary packages" with medicine, wipes and masks, that will be distributed to students.
