WHO calls China's COVID-19 measures "bellwether" while Trump halts U.S. funding

On Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he'd be halting the U.S. funding to the World Health Organization, claiming it "missed the mark" on the COVID-19 pandemic while also being "very China centric."

The WHO pushed back against the comments and the latest move from the Trump White House, as the pandemic continues throughout the U.S.

But, WHO spokesperson says there has been deserved praise for China in their fight against the coronavirus outbreak and has seen some major success in combating it and controlling it.

CGTN's Anand Naidoo from The Heat spoke with WHO spokesperson Margaret Harris about China's measures and efforts in fighting the outbreak and what it needs moving forward.
