Reporter Vlog: Highlights from One World Together At Home concert
CGTN

This is Karina Huber in New York City. I chose to watch a big chunk of One World: Together at Home via livestream during the day so that my six-year-old son Jamie could watch part of it with me.

I try as much as I can to get him to understand the sacrifices healthcare workers, delivery people, grocers and other essential workers– are making right now to fight this virus. He's often on our rooftop along with many other New Yorkers cheering on those workers at 7 pm daily.

One of the highlights of the benefit concert was seeing comedians like Jack Black who my son knows through the movie "Jumanji." He guided a remote exercise class that was interesting.

We wished we had our own pool but our living room worked fine under the circumstances. We also enjoyed dancing to Elton John's "I'm still Standing." He's one of my favorite artists of all time.

At the end of it all, we were pretty pooped and watched the rest of the show from the floor of our living room. It was unlike anything I've ever seen before – certainly much more subdued than a traditional benefit concert but given the circumstances, I think they did a pretty good job getting together a roster of big names in the entertainment industry to raise awareness.
