The May Day holiday, celebrating workers and laborers across the globe has kicked off throughout China and nowhere is the celebration more important than for the people of Wuhan.

Following two months of lockdown, the city has been reopened for more than three weeks. People are leaving their homes and heading outdoors to have fun.

CGTN's Hu Chao, who is in the city, tours some of the locations and spots that have reopened and where people are coming together.
