Video footage has emerged showing the killing of 25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery, an unarmed African- American man who was jogging in a Georgia neighborhood near his home before two white men in a pickup truck stopped and shot him. Police have identified Gregory McMichael, 64, and his son, Travis McMichael, 34, of Brunswick as the two men who chased Arbery.

As the police investigation continues, no arrests have been made or charges filed, sparking anger and protests over the lack of action. The Georgia county prosecutor said that he would ask for a grand jury to decide if charges should be filed against the white former law enforcement and his son, but due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the closure of courts, it might not happen until mid-June.
