The Trump administration is no stranger to controversy. It has been criticized for its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, a rocky rollout of stimulus payments to Americans, and the multi-trillion-dollar bailout of small businesses. Most recently, it has lobbed unsubstantiated claims that go against its own domestic and other international intelligence and scientific agencies. Specifically, that the coronavirus itself was manmade or altered in a Chinese lab.
