Harpers Ferry, in the U.S. state of West Virginia was a pivotal site in the country's Civil War. Now it's on the front line of the battle over reopening the U.S. economy. Two months ago, most businesses here closed as COVID-19 spread in the U.S.
A restaurant called Rabbit Hole reopened their business recently. Staff wear masks and gloves and food is served in disposable containers. The indoor dining room is closed and there is even a special system in place when diners need to use the rest room.
Though the Rabbit Hole is reopening, it's not clear what's next. Safety precautions mean the restaurant is operating at about a quarter of its capacity. And despite all the precautions it’s hard to be certain everyone will be safe.
