Business groups urge Trump to delay USMCA due to COVID-19

The retooled North American free trade agreement had been expected to take effect June first.

But then came COVID-19. Under pressure from industries struggling amid the pandemic, the United States delayed the start until July first.

Some business groups, though, are calling for further delays with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce notably urging a hold until 2021.
