Delivery apps have reported record profits during the COVID-19 lockdown in the U.S.
But many restaurants relying on the services say they're being crippled by their fees.
New York eateries remain restricted to serving only takeout during the pandemic, and so the city has placed a cap on how much delivery apps can charge.
New York has now followed in the footsteps of San Francisco, Seattle and Washington DC, and passed legislation capping delivery app fees at 15%. But it only applies during a state of emergency - like the current COVID-19 crisis - and for 90 days after.
