The novel coronavirus forced people around the world to instantly alter they way they work by working from home. The crisis has proven remote work can be done successfully. Now another work concept is in the spotlight -- the four-day workweek.

The concept gained traction after Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand's Prime Minister, suggested a 4-day work week in a video, in order to boost domestic tourism. "I hear lots of people suggesting we should have a four-day week. Ultimately, that really sits between employers and employees."

Even former U.S. presidential candidate Andrew Yang promoted a 4-day workweek. In a tweet, he said, we should seriously look at 4-day workweeks.

Studies show that we would be just as productive. It would create jobs at the margins and improve mental health.

CGTN's Karina Huber explores more layers to this concept.
