African American​s have long been disproportionately ​under-represented in ​the world of business, ​with ownership rates well below their relative numbers in population.

And the COVID-19 pandemic hit the businesses they do own disproportionately hard, with research showing many missed out on federal stimulus money.

Yet the death of George Floyd appears to have provided an incentive for customers to connect with and support black enterprise, as CGTN's Owen Fairclough reports
