The COVID-19 pandemic ​is magnif​ying the problem of child hunger in America. 

Questioned recently by the Brookings Institution, nearly one-fifth of mothers with young children said their kids were experiencing food insecurity. 

Some school districts along with the federal government are now trying to address the problem.
