Large parts of the United States are having second thoughts about plans to reopen as the coronavirus surges. 

The number of COVID-19 cases has soared to new records.  

Florida reported a record 8,942 new coronavirus cases on Friday. The state has ordered all bars to close immediately.

Texas has also made similar moves and paused its reopening.
