Florida has seen a record new cases of the coronavirus.

CGTN's Sean Callebs reports from Jacksonville, Florida, where about 700 people were lining up for COVID-19 and antibody tests.

People waited two hours to get to the front of the line, and another three hours for the test.

On Friday, the state reached 8,942 cases, the highest since the pandemic started.

Florida now has recorded 146,341 COVID-19 cases, the 4th highest state in the U.S.

However Governor Ron DeSantis said he will not slow Florida's reopening.

He will also not call for a mask mandate in public places.

DeSantis is a longtime Trump supporter.
