Protesters outside a hospital in India's Tamil Nadu state demand justice.

They're calling attention to the deaths of a father and son while in police custody.

Jayaraj and his son Bennicks Immanuel were arrested on June 19 for allegedly violating a COVID-19 curfew by keeping their convenience store open. 

Their family members claim they were then tortured repeatedly over two days.

Bennicks died on June 22. His father Jayaraj passed away the next day.

The policemen responsible for their killings have been suspended.Their deaths have sparked outrage across India.

Some are calling the incident India's "George Floyd" moment.
