Female genital mutilation, child marriage, and son preference are the focus of a new report from the U.N. 

The 2020 State of the World Population report comes from UNFPA, the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency.

UNFPA reports that the rate of harmful practices is slowing, but the rise in population means an overall larger number of women are affected.
