COVID-19 is the latest challenge to hit Haiti.  The poorest country in the Americas, it is no stranger to hurricanes, floods, gang violence and political unrest. 

Now it is fighting the coronavirus. It is believed Haitian migrant workers fleeing COVID-19 in neighboring Dominican Republic, brought the virus back with them. 

Limited running water, sanitation and health facilities means the new virus can easily spread.
