Opening Day: Baseball reopens to a slimmed down season

This time last year, Washington's baseball team was pitching and batting its way to a first championship title since 1924.

But instead of basking in the adulation of their fans, the Washington Nationals and their rivals will begin their delayed season this Thursday playing to empty stands and counting billions in lost opening day revenues

And yet as COVID-19 surges across the U.S, some authorities aren't happy about the format even a slimmed-down league has taken.
