Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended, along with thousands of other worshippers the first official Muslim prayer at the Hagia Sophia. The iconic location, which stood as a museum for more than eight decades, was reverted to a mosque on the orders of President Erdogan earlier in July.
