What people think about Trump's proposed TikTok ban

The popular app has faced attacks from U.S. President Donald Trump.

Trump has threatened to ban it because it's owned by ByteDance, a Chinese company.

He claims that the data collected in the app could be exploited by the Chinese government.

China and ByteDance deny the allegations.

Now ByteDance is negotiating with Microsoft to buy TikTok in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Apple is also said to be interested in buying TikTok.

We talked to Shama Hyder, the CEO of Zen Media about the impact of TikTok and user privacy.
