As of Sunday, Brazil has passed one hundred thousand COVID-19 deaths.

With an average of over 1,000 deaths per day since the end of May and nearly 3 million officially reported cases, the country is the hardest hit in the world after the United States.

More than 98% percent of Brazilian municipalities have reported coronavirus cases, while poor rates of testing, slow reporting of results and a total lack of contact-tracing continue as chronic problems.
