Cuba eased restrictions on local private businesses

Last month, the Cuban government launched the first in a series of reforms aimed at bolstering the nation's economy amid the COVID-19 pandemic.  

The plan allows private restaurants to buy wholesale for the first time and private businesses could also sign contracts to import and export goods through a number of licensed state-run companies.
