2020 Democratic National Convention – Here’s what’s different this year

Updated 2020.08.18 07:05 GMT+8

The 2020 Democratic National Convention is kicking off this week, as presumptive Presidential nominee Joe Biden is planning to accept his party’s nomination. And this year’s event will be unlike other political conventions – as it will be primarily virtual.

Originally scheduled to take place in the U.S. city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the coronavirus pandemic has led to the scrapping of those plans. Most of the convention including speeches, performances and delegation count will take place online during prime time on American television.

Take a look at what this convention will look like.
